NHL forced to postpone Kings game today by several months due to dangerous conditions

All over North America, there has been highly severe weather in the past few weeks, and with so much sport being played throughout the winter months, it has no doubt played a role on several occasions.

Unfortunately, some things just can't be under the control of Gary Bettman and the National Hockey League, and now they've had to make a drastic decision ahead of Monday's slate of games.

As of late, there's been a major storm moving through the midwest, and as a result, the NHL have now officially announced that the latest game between the Columbus Blue Jackets and Los Angeles Kings has officially been postponed until March 9th.

The Blue Jackets last played at home on Saturday night in a barnburner against the Tampa Bay Lightning, but unfortunately, the risk of travelling during this storm has made this the correct and obvious decision from the National Hockey League.

That may make the later season schedule for both of these teams a little more jam packed, but given how important the safety of players during their travel is, there was no other choice from the league as they look to make some changes to keep the league calendar rolling without any issues.

Ultimately, things like this have happened many times in the past, and usually, players are quick and easy to adapt to their new schedule, so now we will wait and see what type of effect this has on these players moving forward.
