Sam Bennett Makes Bold and Explicit Comments at Panthers Cup Parade
Florida Panthers forward Sam Bennett made some controversial comments during his speech today after the team completed their Parade celebrating their second Stanley Cup victory over the Edmonton Oilers.
Sam Bennett is one of the more notorious players around the NHL.
The agitating forward is well-known for being a pest, playing physical, and occasionally crossing the line with dirty hits and plays.
In fact, the Panthers forward has just recently been caught up in another controversy after it was revealed that Predators captain
Roman Josi was diagnosed with a rare condition known as POTS.
But today, Bennett doubled down on his play style, and was completely unapologetic to anyone who thinks he or the rest of the team plays dirty.
He received a chorus of cheers as he told fans that he was not going to apologize for his play style, or that of his team overall.
He even faked the fans out, making it appear as though he was about to apologize right before delivering his real message.
And who could blame him? Bennett is at the peak of his career, coming off consecutive Stanley Cup victories, and earning a Conn Smythe trophy as the cherry on top.
Furthermore, as a pending free agent, he's likely about to receive the biggest contract of his career, even if he takes a team-friendly discount to stay with the Panthers.
But what if he actually tests the market? How much would he get then?
Certainly enough for him to never care about anything fans of other teams will ever say to him throughout the rest of his career.
