NHL analyst David Dwork revealed that the Stanley Cup champion Florida Panthers will have some upgrades to their arena next season, including a new scoreboard.

Amerant Bank Arena will boast a fresh new look next season, off and on the ice. Along with a new Stanley Cup Championship banner, the Florida Panthers are unveiling multiple fan-driven upgrades to enhance the game-day experience.
While a complete upper-deck renovation was pushed back due to the team's long postseason, other improvements have already been made, most visibly, a state-of-the-art scoreboard to replace the outdated "Big Red," which had been in service since 2013.
"Each year we research and implement new ways to improve and enhance our fan experience at Amerant Bank Arena and across all of our venues," Panthers President and CEO Matthew Caldwell said in a statement released by the team. "We are thrilled at what the new technology of this brand-new scoreboard will bring to our arena's atmosphere and the ways it will engage our fans. We can't wait for our fans to see the fully completed scoreboard in full use on Oct. 7 for our home opener."
The new scoreboard is already installed and will get its first test with fans at Saturday's Monster Jam event, ahead of Opening Night. The scoreboard is only one of many improvements that can be observed.
"The project was led by long-time technology consultant Anthony James Partners (AJP), with ANC serving as the manufacturer and integrator for the venue's new video displays. The highlight of the project is a new center-hung scoreboard featuring four 4mm LED screens, each measuring 38 feet wide by 31 feet high, joined to form a 360-degree digital canvas spanning 151 feet. The scoreboard delivers a total LED area of 4,762 square feet-an increase of 3,061 square feet and a 180% larger viewing area compared to the previous scoreboard."

Underbelly Screens Will Also Be Installed for Fans Seated near Ice Level

Fans seated closer to the ice will have two large underbelly screens for better viewing. A massive 75-foot, 360-degree LED halo will encircle the scoreboard, offering another thrilling visual element.
New LED ribbon boards will also be installed around the arena, including a horseshoe-shaped board along the club level.
More than a dozen other display screens will also be installed around the venue so that fans can stay connected with the action no matter where they are.
The Panthers have said directly: the entertainment aspect within Amerant Bank Arena is on the upswing, whether there is puck play or not.
