Brad Marchand Comments on His Hate for the Montreal Canadiens Even After Leaving the Boston Bruins

It's no secret that Brad Marchand is one of the most disliked players in the NHL by opposing fans, and there's no fanbase that dislikes him more than the Montreal Canadiens, with the former Boston Bruins captain sharing that disdain for the Canadiens franchise.

However, he's no longer on the opposing side of one of the NHL's biggest rivalries after the trade to Florida, so how has this effected or changed Marchand and his rivalry with the Habs? Unsurprisingly, it hasn't.

When asked about his hatred for the Canadiens, Marchand clarified that he didn't hate them, but he understands the rivalry and will always get much more emotional when he goes up against them.

Given how passionate Marchand has been throughout his career, it's no surprise that even with the change of jersey, he sees the Canadiens as a major rival, and with both teams expected to make the Stanley Cup Playoffs in 2025, we could be seeing what would be a thrilling showdown between the teams in the near future.

Whether or not that happens, only time will tell, but if it does, it's safe to say that it would be extra motivation for Marchand, and with the young core in Montreal and the veteran, proven leaders in Florida, it would be arguably the most exciting first round series in the post-season if it happened.
