Tony DeAngelo has been with quite a few teams throughout his NHL career already at only 28 years old. Originally drafted by the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2014, DeAngelo was traded to the Arizona Coyotes before even playing a game for them. Then in Arizona, DeAngelo only managed a single season with the team before being traded again, this time to the New York Rangers. He had the lengthiest stretch of his career in New York spending just over three years in New York but having his contract bought out after only six games into his fourth season with the team. The Carolina Hurricanes then picked him up in free agency on a short one-year deal. After his contract was up, his rights were still with Carolina and they decided to trade him to the Philadelphia Flyers. His time with the Flyers was short-lived, only playing in one season with the Flyers before being bought out and signing back with the Hurricanes. Last year with the Hurricanes he played in only 31 total games scoring 11 points along the way. He is now a free agent and has not signed an NHL contract but could be the perfect candidate for the Oilers.
