The Edmonton Oilers have a rabid fanbase, and ahead of a massive 2025/26 season, they've announced a new event for fans ahead of games.
After making the Stanley Cup Finals and falling short in two straight seasons, the Edmonton Oilers feel on the verge of history, and they have an incredibly rabid fanbase in Edmonton waiting to celebrate.
Those fans have been with them every step of the way thus far, with their reactions at live watch parties throughout the Stanley Cup Playoffs only adding to the atmosphere.
In previous years, their fanbase has become renowned for
engaging in fights in the stands or in parties on the streets, and if the team win the Stanley Cup, things could potentially get even worse.
Edmonton Oilers to Debut Tailgate Parties
Now, ahead of the 2025/26 NHL season, the Oilers have announced on social media a new event, as they are set to host a pre-game tailgate ahead of their first two matchups of the season at home, with the team taking on two fierce rivals in the Vancouver Canucks and Calgary Flames in that time.
The tailgate is set to take place in the Ice District surrounding the arena, with a 30,000 square foot tent set to play host with DJ's, food, drinks and plenty of entertainment ahead of their games.
It's unclear if this is going to become a consistent thing throughout the year, with the cold potentially playing a role in not hosting this later in the season, but as of right now, the organization knows how hungry the fans are for success, so they're giving them another way to enjoy this team early in the season.
