After Connor McDavid's hat trick last night against the Seattle Kraken, he said he feels the team overall is playing better when they picked up their 12th win of the year.

Even though the Edmonton Oilers have not been able to string together consistent wins this year, they looked far much more like their old selves during last night's 9-4 win over the Seattle Kraken at Rogers Place.
Connor McDavid scored his 13th career hat trick, which tied Hall of Famer Mark Messier for the fourth most in Oilers history.
McDavid said after the game that he thinks the Oilers are starting to find their stride after another slower start to the season.
It feels good to get a couple as a group and hopefully guys are feeling good about themselves and can build on it. I feel like we're playing better. It's been a little bit of a grind here finding wins. It's nice to put a good one together. - Connor McDavid

Defenseman Evan Bouchard, who has caught plenty of flack this year from Oilers fans, had three assists and said the 9-4 win is evidence that the team is starting to get back to normal.
After last game, not putting up any, it's good for the confidence that we can get nine. It's a good feeling. Minus that one game (an 8-3 loss to Dallas) it feels like we're coming, we're getting there. - Evan Bouchard

The Oilers next play the Winnipeg Jets at home tomorrow night.

The Oilers Still Don't Have Good Goaltending

The biggest issue for the Oilers this year continues to be their goaltending, as the tandem of Stuart Skinner and Calvin Pickard just are not getting it done.
If the Oilers have any plans on once again going on a deep postseason run and try to make the Stanley Cup Final for the third straight year, a goaltending upgrade is needed.
Even though most fans and analysts figured that a goaltending acquisition would be the first order of business for GM Stan Bowman during the summer, no such move was made.
The Oilers have been linked to several goalies in recent weeks, including Jordan Binnington of the St. Louis Blues and Tristan Jarry of the Pittsburgh Penguins.
