Dylan Larkin's trade request is stretching into its third month, and the list of suitors keeps growing.

According to Detroit Free Press insider Helene St. James, the Red Wings have engaged in discussions with the Florida Panthers, Minnesota Wild, and Vegas Golden Knights.
These are the three original teams on Larkin's no-trade list. However, the Dallas Stars and general manager Jim Nill have entered the fray.
Larkin requested a move out of Detroit shortly after the 2025-26 season ended on April 15, frustrated by the Red Wings' playoff drought and a strained relationship with then GM Steve Yzerman.
Despite Yzerman's departure from the front office, Larkin has not walked back his request. Shawn Horcoff is currently running hockey operations on an interim basis while Detroit searches for a permanent replacement.

Why a Deal Hasn't Happened

The holdup comes down to asking price. St. James reports Detroit wants proven NHL players who can contribute immediately, not draft picks or prospects, a stance that has stalled talks with all four teams.
Dallas balked when the Red Wings asked about young center Wyatt Johnston.
Minnesota has been unwilling to include winger Matt Boldy in a deal that would make the cap math work. Neither Florida nor Vegas has offered anything that has moved the needle either.
Larkin remains one of the league's top centers, posting a career-high 34 goals and 67 points in 74 games last season.
His contract, an $8.7 million cap hit running through 2030-31, gives Detroit no urgency to rush a discounted deal.
For now, the Red Wings appear content to have Larkin report to training camp in September while they wait for an offer that finally meets their price.
