Chicago Blackhawks sign their best prospect not named Connor Bedard
While Connor Bedard may get all of the attention, the Chicago Blackhawks have one of the best prospect pools in the NHL and have inked Frank Nazar, their best prospect other than Bedard, to a three-year entry-level contract.
The Chicago Blackhawks have just announced that they have signed University of Michigan forward Frank Nazar to a three-year entry-level contract.
#Blackhawks announce they've signed 2022 first-round pick Frank Nazar out of Michigan.
His entry-level contract begins immediately.
Nazar was one of the best players in all of college hockey this past year scoring 17 goals and 41 points in 41 games. This was especially impressive considering how Nazar was limited to only 13 games last year with a brutal injury. At the World Junior Championships, Nazar helped the USA win gold posting 8 assists through 7 games.
The 2022 13th overall pick is best known for his playmaking ability and could find himself on Connor Bedard's wing for a very long time if the pair finds chemistry.
The Blackhawks only have a few games left this year but may have Nazar slot in to get a taste for NHL action against the best in the world.
