The NHL trade deadline is just a month away, and now, Frank Seravalli has predicted the top three names to be traded ahead of the March 6 deadline.

All the attention of the hockey world as of right now is firmly in Milan for the NHL's return to the Olympic Games, but once that's over, there will be less than two weeks for teams to make moves ahead of the 2026 trade deadline.
Despite the roster freeze, there's been plenty of chatter around the league about potential moves that will be made, and while Artemi Panarin was dealt before the freeze, there's still some big names available.

Frank Seravalli reveals the top names to be dealt

While it's unlikely that a top-15 player in the league will be moved in the coming weeks, NHL Insider Frank Seravalli was recently asked who he believes will be dealt, naming three players that are most likely to be traded.
There's attention on Robert Thomas in St. Louis, but according to Seravalli, it's two Calgary Flames in Nazem Kadri and Blake Coleman along with Vincent Trocheck of the New York Rangers and Team USA Olympic squad that will most likely be dealt ahead of March 6th.
On paper, Kadri and Coleman make the most sense to be traded, as the Flames are in the midst of a clear rebuild, and with teams needing Stanley Cup winning experience up front, both make perfect sense to be moved.
There will be many more moves made between the end of the Olympic roster freeze and the March 6 deadline, but with all eyes on Calgary and New York, expect both teams to be among the most aggressive sellers in the coming weeks.
