Dustin Wolf has been on a roll lately, but unfortunately, he's sent out a cry for help after the Flames lost their seventh straight game on Wednesday night.
The Calgary Flames made a shock push for the Stanley Cup Playoffs in 2024/25, falling one point short of a post-season spot, and coming into the new season, they've preached finding just one more point.
However, the start has been less than desirable, with their
Wednesday night defeat to the Montreal Canadiens resulting in a 1-6-1 start to the season, ranking the team 31st in the overall NHL standings.
Dustin Wolf Calls Out His Team
One player that can't be blamed so far is Dustin Wolf, as he's given up just four golas over the past two games, both 2-1 defeats at the hands of the Winnipeg Jets and the Canadiens.
The last defeat came despite the offense tallying 37 shots on net, with the lone goal to
Adam Klapka enough to push it to overtime where the team would once again hang Wolf out to dry.
Now, he's called out the team for their lack of offensive production, and with 75 games to go, things may get even tougher before they get better for Wolf.
I mean, I can't generate offence. I do my job, I try to keep the puck out of our net, and hope that our guys can generate a couple.
Ultimately, most Flames fans are hoping for the team to struggle and push for a top pick in the 2026 NHL Draft, but as of right now, things are clearly getting to Wolf, and it may eventually get worse before it gets better.
