Recently-fired Sabres GM Kevyn Adams accused of leaking info to the media
Kevyn Adams embarrassing tenure in Buffalo has now come to an end, and now he's been accused of leaking a major report to the media following his departure.
The Buffalo Sabres have been the laughing stock of the NHL for well over a decade, but in recent years, things have seemingly gotten worse, especially following the appointment of Kevyn Adams.
Unlike other people in the role around the league, Adams didn't have to go through much of a learning stage before being handed the role, and during his tenure, that became incredibly apparent as he struggled to turn this organization around.
Then, the team would make the long awaited move of firing him last week, but as is par for the course with Buffalo, that didn't come without some controversy.
Adams accused of leaking a report to the media
Following his departure, reports emerged from Buffalo that Alex Tuch was looking to get paid more than Adrian Kempe ($10.625 million per season) on his next deal, with many looking to Adams as the person that leaked this report.
It's unclear exactly why Adams has been accused of being the one behind it, but given how few people had access to this information, it's the logical conclusion to draw for the Sabres after what appears to have been a messy, albeit long-time breakup between the team and Adams.
Ultimately, there's likely going to be no backlash for Adams in Buffalo for potentially leaking this report, but if he was looking for another role in the league after this, it may have dire consequences if it's confirmed that he was the one talking to the media.
