Jim Montgomery calls out David Pastrnak after game six loss
The Boston Bruins were nearly shut out by the Toronto Maple Leafs last night and following the game, their head coach Jim Montgomery called out their superstar, David Pastrnak.
Last night, the Boston Bruins were nearly shut out by the Toronto Maple Leafs losing 2-1 and getting their single goal with 0.1 seconds left in the game. With the chance to eliminate the Maple Leafs, the Bruins have blown two straight chances and could now be eliminated themselves if they blow the 3-1 series lead.
Following the loss, the Bruins head coach Jim Montgomery called out David Pastrnak saying that the best players need to step up.
Your best players need to be your best players this time of year. Pasta has to step up. He needs to be a dominant player like he used to.
Pastrnak, a known superstar, had another superstar season posting 47 goals and 110 points for the Bruins. However, in the playoffs, his production has taken a step back with only two goals and four points through the opening six games.
With game seven heading back to Boston, the Bruins will lean on Pastrnak if they want to advance to the second round to play the Florida Panthers.
