David Pastrnak and Brad Marchand shared the ice for a long time, and now the star Bruin reveals his feelings on the first matchup between the two as rivals.

The Boston Bruins have had two stars up front for a long time in David Pastrnak and Brad Marchand, but last season, they broke up their star duo by trading the latter to the eventual Stanley Cup Champion Florida Panthers.
The two teams matched up after the trade, but Marchand missed significant time until just before the Stanley Cup Playoffs, meaning that we are yet to see the two long-time teammates do battle at the NHL level.

David Pastrnak Addresses the chance to face Brad Marchand

In a recent interview with The Hockey News, Pastrnak was asked about Marchand and what will happen the first time they're across from each other on the ice in an NHL game.
"Of course, I wrote him congratulations on the Cup. We played a big part of our careers together and our wives are also great friends. The bond is there, so of course it was difficult to see him leave. I'm not happy about the Stanley Cup for Florida, but I am happy for Marchand. Then when he signed a big contract, I kind of let him know that I would make the first game against us a little difficult for him. I am looking forward to it. We always had tough battles together, even in practise."
Unsurprisingly, Pastrnak had mixed feelings on the Stanley Cup success of Marchand, as he's not happy that Florida won but is happy that his long-time teammate and friend succeeded, while also revealing that he's going to make the first matchup of the two difficult for Marchand.
The two have no doubt met in practice a lot of times throughout their careers, but this will be on another level, so when these two teams meet in Boston on October 21st, it's bound to be one full of emotion.
