The Boston Bruins have released unfortunate injury news on Elias Lindholm, who is signed to a $54 million contract, after he was hurt on Thursday against the Buffalo Sabres.

The Boston Bruins released unfortunate injury news today, saying that forward Elias Lindholm is going to be missing the next several weeks because of an injury.
He was hurt after colliding with Buffalo Sabres forward Jordan Greenway on Thursday, and had to be helped off the ice. After the game, head coach Maco Sturm initially said that it's not a good sign that Lindholm required assistance to get off the ice.

So far this year with the Bruins, Lindholm has nine points (4G, 5A) in 13 games played.

Elias Lindholm Is In His Second Season With The Bruins

Lindholm was taken with the fifth overall pick by the Carolina Hurricanes in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft, and would spend the first several years of his career with them before he would be traded to the Calgary Flames with Noah Hanifin in exchange for Dougie Hamilton, Micheal Ferland, and prospect Adam Fox.
After the Flames were not in contention for the playoffs in 2024, he would be sent to the divisional foe Vancouver Canucks for Andrei Kuzmenko, unsigned prospects Hunter Brzustewicz and Joni Jurmo, and first-round and conditional fourth-round picks in the 2024 NHL Entry Draft.
Last summer, he signed a seven year, $54.25 million contract with an AAV (average annual value) of $7.75 million.
He has 613 points (239G, 374A) in 913 games with the Hurricanes, Flames, Canucks and Bruins.
