Bruins Forward Involved in Unexpected Overseas Trade

Boston Bruins prospect Marat Khusnutdinov was traded from SKA Saint Petersburg in the KHL to Spartak Moksva in an unexpected move.
Forward Marat Khusnutdinov may be playing in the NHL right now with the Boston Bruins, but he's been traded as part of a deal in
the KHL, where he played before breaking into the NHL with the Minnesota Wild.
His rights were traded to Spartak Moksva from SKA Saint Petersburg along with Maxim Seldemirov and cash for the rights to Yegor Savikov.

To Spartak: Rights to NHLBruins' Marat Khustnudinov, rights to 17 year old Maxim Seldemirov and cash.
To SKA: Rights to Yegor Savikov.
So far this year with the Bruins, Khusnutdinov has played in five games and has an assist.
Marat Khusnutdinov Was Drafted by Minnesota in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft
Khusnutdinov was taken by the Minnesota Wild with the 37th pick in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft, and would play in 73 total games in a Wild sweater before being traded to the Bruins in March of 2025 with Jakub Lauko and a sixth round draft pick in return for
Justin Brazeau.
He's played in a total of 96 NHL games split between the Wild and Bruins, and has 17 points (6G, 11A).
In his first year with the Wild, he tallied four points (1G, 3A) in 16 games played, and followed that up with seven points (2G, 5A) in 57 games in 2023-24 before being traded to the Bruins.
This summer, the Bruins signed him to a two year contract extension with an AAV (average annual value) of $925,000.
