Mason McTavish appears to be on the move this off-season, and now Jimmy Murphy has linked the young Ducks star to Montreal, Carolina and Detroit.

The Anaheim Ducks have been one of the busiest teams in the NHL this off-season, and their dealing may not be done, as rumours continue to swirl around young centre Mason McTavish.
Some speculation has revealed that McTavish is on the verge of demanding a trade from Anaheim, as he is reportedly frustrated about his role with the team despite showing immense potential over the past few seasons.
Now, it appears likely that he'll be moved at some point before the 2025/26 season, with suitors around the league lining up to land a 22-year old with 22 goals and 52 points a season ago.

Insider Links Mason McTavish to 3 Unexpected Suitors in Trade Talks

We've heard McTavish linked to several teams already, and now, Jimmy Murphy with RG Media has officially linked him to three very intriguing teams as the NHL off-season rolls on.
According to Murphy, the three teams most likely to pursue McTavish this off-season are the Montreal Canadiens, Carolina Hurricanes and Detroit Red Wings, with the latter attempting to use Steve Yzerman's relationship with Pat Verbeek to get a deal done.
The former No. 3 overall pick hasn't lit up the NHL as of yet, but McTavish has shown steady improvement every year in the league, posting a career high of 52 points in 2024/25, and while it may be a mistake for Anaheim to deal him, all signs are pointing this way, with these three teams firming as favourites to land the talented young star.
