The Toronto Maple Leafs have made some big moves this summer, and according to Chris Johnston, they could be set to make another big trade before the season.

This off-season has been a very busy one for the Maple Leafs, as they've made some big changes, added some key pieces and even resolved an arbitration issue with Nick Robertson, but business isn't done yet.
Despite moving Mitch Marner in a sign-and-trade with the Vegas Golden Knights, Toronto now have a logjam up front, with way too many NHL forwards to fit into their lineup every single night.

The Leafs Need Cap Space: Kampf, Jarnkrok, and Robertson Hit The Block

Unsurprisingly, this has led to plenty of trade chatter, with The Athletic's Chris Johnston revealing that Calle Jarnkrok, David Kampf and Nick Robertson are all trade candidates as training camp and the 2025/26 season draws near.
According to Johnston, the Maple Leafs are still eyeing some trades as they look to find some clarity up front, with Robertson one of the three players most likely to move despite recently signing a new deal with the team.
In their top-six, Toronto are fairly solid with Matthews, Nylander and Knies leading the way, but beyond that, there's no clarity heading into training camp, and given their Stanley Cup ambitions, a trade makes the most sense.
Ultimately, this is a team with immense talent up and down the lineup, but they simply have too many forwards, and with the off-season coming to an end in the next few months, expect rumours and speculation to heat up around these players as Toronto look to go into the new season with a set lineup.
