Canadiens' Ivan Demidov recently got a new puppy, and he honored Quebec legend Celine Dion by naming the dog after her, since she made his draft announcement.

Ivan Demidov comes to town with plenty of talent and belief in himself, and the Canadiens will be easing him in slowly with a good game plan to ramp him up as he builds his experience.
Fans of the team will likely be viewing him as the season begins on a third or fourth line with veteran wingers, so he can gain experience at even strength. But power-play minutes will be on their way to him very soon.
Ivan Demidov's game is ideal for the man advantage unit, and being on the ice with Lane Hutson from time to time will definitely yield results, as both players have the speed and discipline to truly excel.

Ivan Demidov and His Girlfriend Katya Name New Dog Céline, After Céline Dion

Demidov has been making some major news off the ice recently, too. Demidov and his girlfriend Katya adopted a puppy recently and named the wee little glob of fluff Celine, a nice little tribute to Quebec legend Celine Dion, who playfully announced Demidov as the Canadiens' 2024 first-round draft pick.
It won over fans back home right away and shows he's got an emotional connection with the city already.
In the future, keep an eye on Demidov starting with around 12 minutes per game of ice time. When he's in a groove, 14 minutes, and likely even more. Even last season, he averaged a tad under 14 minutes per game.
At the NHL level with a more high-event game and a more offensive brand of hockey, he'll need to adjust, but there's potential here, as we saw his skill when he made his debut a few months ago.
