Anaheim Ducks rookie Beckett Sennecke and head coach Joel Quenneville woke up to an absolute joke today.

George Parros just handed the kid a $2,000 fine for diving.
The Department of Player Safety is officially broken.
Think about the recent track record. Parros gave Radko Gudas a mere five games for a hit that ended Auston Matthews' season, and followed that up by slapping A.J. Greer with just three games for boarding Connor Zary.
Connor McDavid and Matthews' agent ripped Parros publicly, and rightly so.
Parros even held a press conference to defend those laughable suspensions.

The Double Standard is Deafening

Now, Parros suddenly finds his rulebook to squeeze two grand out of a 20-year-old rookie.
Sennecke has dressed for 70 games this season. With 54 points already in the bank, his offensive output is off the charts for a first-year pro.
He currently leads all rookies with 33 assists. The Ducks sit atop the Pacific Division with 82 points largely because of his crisp passing and vision.
The kid logs roughly 15 minutes of ice time nightly. Opposing defensemen hack and slash him relentlessly because they cannot match his speed.
Parros watched Gudas end the season of a generational goal scorer. He let that slide with a simple five-game vacation.
Now he brings down the hammer over an embellishment call. The hypocrisy makes zero logical sense.
The league office proves once again they have no concept of player safety. You cannot allow goons to run wild on your superstars while playing tough guy with a rookie.
The NHL needs a leadership change immediately.
This circus must stop before another elite talent leaves the ice on a stretcher.
