Keanu Reeves is one of Canada's most iconic actors of all-time, and now, 40-years after being a prospect with the team, he's inked a deal with the Windsor Spitfires.
Back in 1982, the Windsor Spitfires had a young prospect called Keanu Reeves, but after suffering an injury, he would go on to pursue his career in acting, becoming one of the biggest names on the planet. Now, things have come full circle, as the Canadian actor has signed a symbolic one-day contract with the Spitfires, and unsurprisingly, it's for an incredible reason.
According to the report, everything that Reeves signs as a member of the Spitfires will be auctioned off for charity, with all proceeds going to the Canadian Mental Health Association of Windsor. Over the years of his fame, Reeves has been one of the most charitable men in the entire world, with his genuine acts of kindness and charity inspiring many around the world, with the latest just another instance in a long line of fantastic moments.
Still, it's quite fascinating to think about a world in which we never see The Matrix, Point Break, Speed, John Wick or countless other movies with a young Reeves instead pursuing hockey, but for now, we'll take the charitable one-day contract that allows him to continue his incredible work as a positive influence on the world.
