JJ Peterka has reportedly been traded by the Buffalo Sabres late this evening, and we now know the team that will be Peterka's next home.
NHL insider Frank Seravalli just announced that the Buffalo Sabres have traded JJ Peterka to the Utah Mammoth, pending one contingency
"Sources say #Sabres have agreed in principle to trade forward JJ Peterka to the Utah Mammoth. BUT there is apparently a contingency holding up deal.
If completed, and still a big if, would be a big get for Utah adding another 23-year-old top line forward to the mix." - Frank Seravalli
It is currently unknown what the contingency is that is holding up the deal, but there are a plethora of things that it could be, like a physical from Peterka that Utah needs or an agreement on a contract between the Mammoth and Peterka.
This deal comes shortly after Buffalo Sabres owner Terry Pegula reportedly agreed to ship him off.
Terry Pegula has reportedly given the Sabres permission to move JJ Peterka if that's what they choose to do.
We now await the full trade details. More to come.
