The Dallas Stars and Philadelphia Flyers have completed a one-for-one trade today as Christian Kyrou was acquired in exchange for forward Samu Tuomaala.

There's another NHL Trade to report between a pair of unlikely trade partners, the Dallas Stars and Philadelphia Flyers, though it involves a pair of players slated to likely play most of the year in the American Hockey League.
The Flyers have acquired defenseman Christian Kyrou from the Stars and have sent forward Samu Tuomaala back in return.
Kyrou is the brother of St. Louis Blues forward Jordan Kyrou and was taken by the Stars with the 50th overall pick in the 2022 NHL Entry Draft.
Tuomaala was taken by the Flyers with the 46th overall pick in the 2021 NHL Entry Draft.
Both players are expected to report to their respective new AHL affiliates, the Texas Stars and the Lehigh Valley Phantoms.

Both Players Involved In The Stars And Flyers Trade Will Report To The AHL

Per Kyrou's scouting report from Elite Prospects, his top strength is his ability to lead defensive zone breakouts.
The name of the game is manipulation with Kyrou. He'll bait defenders one way and then slide right past them in the opposite direction untouched, leaving them behind the play and hopeless to recover. All the usual suspects are there -- side steps, look-offs, shoulder feints, etc. -- and the Otters defender has mastered them in the pursuit of clean zone exits and better looks in the offensive zone.

As far as Tuomaala's scouting report goes, his top asset is his speed.
He reloads to swing wide on his team's breakout, collects the puck in stride, accelerates through knee-over-knee crossovers, and drives play across the offensive blue line. Blink, and you just might miss him. Tuomaala has a wicked wrist shot, and he can get it off in-stride from either foot.

Both players will be reporting to their new AHL affiliate.
