All-star netminder Logan Thompson officially traded to Washington
The Vegas Golden Knights have officially moved on from all-star netminder Logan Thompson trading him to the Vegas Golden Knights.
The Vegas Golden Knights have traded one of their top goaltenders Logan Thomspon to the Washington Capitals!
🚨 TRADE ALERT 🚨
The Golden Knights have acquired a 2024 3rd round pick and a 2025 3rd round pick from the Washington Capitals in exchange for goalie Logan Thompson.
The Washington Capitals have acquired goaltender Logan Thompson from the Vegas Golden Knights for a third-round pick in the 2024 NHL Draft (originally from the NY Islanders) and Washington's own third-round pick in the 2025 NHL Draft.
The Capitals had previously traded their starting netminder Darcy Kuemper to LA in exchange for Pierre-Luc Dubois. Thompson will now share the net with Charlie Lindgren and will try to help the Capitals back to the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
The Golden Knights now get draft capital that they can use either today or for trades in the future.
