Patrik Laine's career hits a new all-time low after latest insider report

A new report from NHL insider David Pagnotta has revealed that former superstar winger Patrik Laine's career has hit an unexpected new low.
Patrik Laine has endured a turbulent career in the NHL after exploding on to the scene as a young scoring machine Laine struggled with severe health issues that have kept him off the ice.
Over the last five seasons, Laine has struggled with both physical and mental health problems that have led him to miss a significant number of games.
As a result, Laine now heads into free agency as an unknown coming off of a season in which he only played five games.
Now, at 28-years-old Laine's time in the NHL could reportedly be on the verge of ending.
Insider reports Patrik Laine could be forced into NHL tryout to earn his next contract
According to David Pagnotta, there is a high likelihood that Laine will have to go into training camp on a try-out non guaranteed contract next season.

If that is the case, Laine could be one bad training camp performance from finding himself out of the NHL entirely.
When healthy, Laine is still an incredible scorer and with a massive frame and a good skater for his size.
Hopefully, Laine will be able to stay on the ice when he gets his next opportunity and return to the level of player so many fans loved to see him be early in his career.
As the offseason continues, it will be interesting to see which team gives Laine his next opportunity in the NHL.
