Missed Call on Oilers' Viktor Arvidsson May Have Ended the Golden Knights' Stanley Cup Hopes

The Edmonton Oilers completed a thrilling 5-4 overtime win in Game 2 against the Vegas Golden Knights, but the conclusion wasn't without controversy, and it may have monumental repercussions on Vegas' playoff aspirations.

Just seconds before Leon Draisaitl's winning goal on a great pass from Connor McDavid, the Oilers benefited from a non-call.

Edmonton's Viktor Arvidsson appeared to shove Vegas defenseman Brayden McNabb into the end boards in an attempt to get to the puck, and the veteran crashed into the boards and departed the ice holding his arm.

There was no call on the play, to the frustration of Golden Knights players and fans.

Vegas coach Bruce Cassidy had no update on McNabb's condition after the game.

If he can't play in Game 3, and with Nicolas Hague also questionable and Nicolas Roy possibly facing discipline for a major cross-check, Vegas would be dangerously thin on defense.

Now trailing 2-0 in the series and heading to Edmonton, the Golden Knights are in a desperate situation. The momentum has clearly shifted, and the non-call could be the turning point that derails Vegas' Stanley Cup aspirations.
