The Maple Leafs are up 2-0 in their series with the Panthers, but now Craig Berube has revealed how much Brad Marchand will effect this series moving forward.

While the Toronto Maple Leafs have taken a two game series lead over the Florida Panthers in their Eastern Conference semi-finals showdown, the team know the series is far from over, with both games being decided thus far by one goal.
Now, the series will shift back to Florida, with Head Coach Craig Berube knowing the series is far from over, and ahead of Game 3 in Florida, he identified Brad Marchand as perhaps the Maple Leafs biggest issue thus far in the series.
"On that line, he is a very good player (and) we all know that he has the ability to extend plays with his skill his strength, he can make plays and he's good at it.

He's a gamer. So I think he makes that line very dangerous."
Through two games of this series, Marchand has a goal and 2 assists along with a +3 differential, showing that his line is clearly driving any offensive success this team has had thus far, with his teammate Sam Reinhart acknowledging just how good he's been thus far.
"He's such a competitor. He's looking to make a difference every shift."

With a 9-4 record on home ice in the 2024 Stanley Cup Playoffs, the Panthers are still incredibly dangerous, and with Marchand rolling, if the team can find some consistency in net, they'll once again push Toronto to the limit.
Ultimately though, even with the comments from both Berube and Reinhart, Toronto have overcome Marchand's success in this series thus far, and as long as William Nylander and Mitch Marner continue to thrive, this is a team that believes they can beat any opponent in these playoffs.
