The past week has been beyond heartbreak for the Gaudreau family, and now the widow of Johnny has shared a heartbreaking announcement.

The past week has been tough for everyone in the NHL that came to know, love and admire Johnny Gaudreau with the Calgary Flames and the Columbus Blue Jackets, with everyone from fans, former teammates, coaches and executives all paying tribute to him. That pain pails in comparison to the family that lost a brother, son, husband and father however, making this latest announcement from Meredith Gaudreau even more heartbreaking.

During her eulogy for her late husband, Meredith announced that she is nine weeks pregnant with their third child since marrying three years ago, and with Matthew's wife also pregnant, this simply adds to unimaginable heartbreak.

Throughout the whole process, Meredith has been incredibly strong, sending amazing messages to those who have paid tribute to her late husband, and through all of the emotion and pain, she delivered an incredible tribute of her own to Johnny during his eulogy. It's going to take a long time for even the fans to get past this tragedy, but for the family, the pain may never go away, so hopefully during all of this, they can find some joy and happiness in this latest announcement.
