The EIHL's Challenge Cup was completely destroyed today after one of the team's players was a bit to rough with it during the celebrations.

The Belfast Giants became EIHL champions won their 6th Challenge Cup in team history today as they defeated the Cardiff Wales by a final score of 4-0
The Giants also have six regular season titles, equivalent to the NHL's President's trophy.
Notably, they are also coached by Adam Keefe, the younger brother of New Jersey Devils head coach Sheldon Keefe.
In fact, the team has now won five of their six championships under Keefe, showing which brother knows how to have success in the playoffs.
The Celebrations today started off with the tradition of popping champaign bottles on the ice while the Captain holds the trophy.
But soon, things went horribly wrong. As the players began the tradition of passing the cup around for each player's turn to carry it, it seemingly spontaneously fell apart, with sections of it flying out across the ice.
The player carrying the cup was waving it around in the air, but he didn't hit anything with it, so it is a wonder how it fell apart!
One would imagine that the trophy for a country's top professional league would be a bit more sturdy.
It is rather embarrassing that it is that easy for it to fall part. It comes across as cheap, and some players may even find it a bit insulting.
Many of them have been working their whole lives for this moment, so for something like this to sour it is unfortunate.
That being said, fans of the team certainly found the humor in the moment!
