The IIHF officially announced that the United States of America's World Junior team has been forced to forfeit today's game against Switzerland.
Under the IIHF rules a team forced to quarantine must forfeit any games related to any positive cases that arise. Before tournament play began all teams were forced to quarantine and provide negative tests for all players. The standard for protocols were set to maintain negative tests for all players and this indicates some form of protocol breach.
This situation is fluid and will continue to be updated as more information becomes available but at this time only one game has been postponed.
