William Nylander Confirms Future Plans in New Interview
The Toronto Maple Leafs and William Nylander haven't reached a deal yet, but don't forget that there's still a year left on their curent contract.
However, this led to a lot of speculation and rumours over the summer.
A lot of people would like to get this done before the start of the season, in order to avoid a distraction within the team.
Nylander surprised many by granting an interview to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman.
Nylander Confides in Friedman
The renowned insider Elliotte Friedman met with William Nylander earlier today and asked him a few questions.
The interview hasn't been released just yet, but Friedman still provided an update.
Here's what he stated:
"The most relaxed man in hockey. 'Lots of time' to sort out his contract," says there's nowhere else he wants to be than Toronto. Doesn't see why everyone is spending so much time discussing it."
He completely dismissed the trade rumours about him!
He wants to stay in Toronto.
We're eager to see what will happen to Nylander, but we hope that a quick resolution comes to focus on the training camp that starts in a month.
