Wow! Thats big praise for Lane Hutson to being compared to arguably the best defenseman in the NHL right now.
Hutson was drafted 62nd overall in the 2022 NHL Draft, and over the past year his speed and skill set has caught the hockey worlds eyes as he collected 48 points in 39 games played as a member of the Boston University.
Hutson showcased his skills at the U-20 collecting 4 points in 7 games for team USA.
Cale Makar has been a key member of the Colorado Avalanche ever since the 2019 playoffs where he had 6 points in 10 games.
Makar's speed and skill set have been amazing the league, at the age of 24 Makar has won a Stanley Cup, Calder Memorial Trophy, Conn Smythe Trophy and a James Norris Trophy.
Lane Hutson will have some big shoes to fulfill if he is the next Cale Makar.
