Last night the Washington Capitals hosted the Philadelphia Flyers in a game which turned out to be an absolute blow-out 9-2 for the Capitals.
The game began getting a little heated in the third period, which is common between these two teams, which is even more common in games such as this. Ask Holtby what happened the last time the Capitals blew out the Flyers.
But what angered the Flyers was even in a blowout game, the Capitals sent Ovechkin out on the Powerplay. They did not send out the entire #1 unit, or even the #2 unit, choosing to give the third and fourth liners a chance, but with Ovechkin in a chase for his 9th 50 goal season and in a hunt for #1 overall, they rightfully so, put out Ovechkin.
The Flyers on the other hand did not like this decision and were screaming at the Capitals, which Tom Wilson decided to send them a little hilarious message:
How else is he supposed to catch Gretzky?
