With the Women's World Hockey Championships currently going on, Team Sweden made an announcement giving hockey players more than just a warning.
The announcement was for any Swedish born players who is currently playing, or intend to play hockey in the countries of Russia or Belarus that they will no longer be allowed to represent their home country in anyway.
This comes after the invasion of Ukraine by Russian forces, which began months ago.
We do not currently know how many Swedish born players are currently playing in the KHL, but this will definitely impact quite a few players.
