TEAM USA coach comments on the two CONTROVERSIAL disallowed goals vs Canada - He is NOT happy
Last night we got to see some high level hockey when Team Canada played against Team USA in the Semi-Finals of the World Juniors, a game which was stacked full of NHL prospects, drafted and un-drafted.
Team USA took a 2-0 lead, but Canada stormed back scoring 3 straight. The US thought they tied the game at 3, but it was called back after a coaches challenge for goaltender interference.

Canada would go on to score a few more, then Team USA would score again, but again called back for goaltender interference.

After the game, Team USA coach Rand Pecknold had some comments regarding the situation, but refused to say anything about the referee's, most likely due to fines.
I would say I'm pretty frustrated with the two disallowed goals but I'm not going to comment on it. I'm not going to comment on officiating other than, you know, you've got 18, 19-year-old kids in this environment and you had two taken away. That's a huge part of the game for sure. But I'm not going to comment on the officials. The head officials can deal with that.
