Sheldon Keefe Singles Out Young Defenseman: Makes Locker Room Problems Worse
In a recent interview, Sheldon Keefe singled out one of the Leafs' top young defensemen which has certainly not helped the Leafs' locker room.
Keefe Singles Out Liljegren In Recent Interview
In a recent interview, Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Sheldon Keefe singled out defenseman Timothy Liljegren asking him to bring more to the Leaf's blue line.
"A guy we talk about daily in terms of needing & wanting more out of... We got to help him through it... need Lily to skate, move pucks well & get pucks to the net, defend the rush well & I don't think he's done that to the level that we expect or have seen."
The main issue the public has had with Keefe's comments is how Liljegren has been one of the Leafs' most consistent defensemen this year and was sorely missed when he was out with injury.
Are we watching different players? He's been one of their most consistent defensemen. We gotta get a fresh set of eyes on this thing.
This could be Keefe trying to get more out of one of his best defensemen but calling him out like this is almost certainly not helping the Leafs' locker room chemistry.
