Cammy, a fourteen-year-old girl with Rett Syndrome, who had been close with the Chicago Blackhawks organization since 2013. sadly passed away. Her syndrome left her unable to walk or speak.
She was a former Make-A-Wish partner who's dream, in 2013, was to score a goal assisted by defenseman Duncan Keith. Keith and the team were ecstatic to grant her wish in March of 2015.
Cammy, who was inspired by the resilience of her favourite team and player, experienced the joy of being a hockey player with the Blackhawks family, even if it was just for a day.
We send our sincere condolences and prayers to her friends and family. The whole Blackhawks fan base comes together to honor Cammy and the influence she had on those who were lucky enough to know her. Peace be with you, Cammy.
