A recent report suggests that there is some tension between the Chicago Players and their star player.
Tensions Between Hawks and Star Player
Last season, the Hawks were applauded for reuniting the Jones brothers on the same lineup.
Both Caleb and Seth Jones served the Hawks well during rough times. They both had an impact on the team, with Seth averaging 24 minutes of ice-time and Caleb at 19:13 minutes.
The Hawks decided to let Caleb go, and he signed a one-year deal in Carolina.
Since then, it hasn't been easy for his brother, Seth Jones, who was understandably disappointed to see his brother leave so soon.
Tensions Within the Blackhawks
Seth commented on the situation in a recent interview:
«[Caleb has] a real chance at playoff hockey, which is something everyone wants.»
By saying this, he sends a shot at the Hawks, stating he wishes he were a part of a top contender team.
He also revealed that Kyle Davidson didn't talk to him before letting his brother leave:
"[We] had some good chemistry last year, and Chicago just wanted to go a different way... After the fact, Kyle called me, but not before. But I'm trying to control what I can control."
He's obviously frustrated by the situation but understands that it's out of his control.
The Blackhawks have the chance to have a breakout season now that Connor Bedard has joined them, and we can't wait to see how things will turn out for them.
