After acquiring Matthew Tkachuk and giving him a long, expensive (well deserved) extension, the Florida Panthers seem to be needing to make another move or two if they are to even out this team and give themselves some salary cap freedom.
However, the team seem to need to make a big move if they are to get back to the position we saw them in a year ago, and with Reinhart's contract coming up after the 2023-24 season, this may be the best time to move on from him.
In two seasons with Florida, Reinhart has scored 64 goals and 151 points, and at 27-years of age, he still has plenty of time to grow, and for a playoff team of the future with cap space, he could be the perfect top-six addition.
Training camp is still some time away, with the season starting in seven weeks from now, there's plenty of time for teams to make a move, and if the Panthers can find a partner, moving Reinhart could give them the cap relief and future assets they need to contend for a long time to come.
