Well, we are past that time now and the Vancouver Canucks are still not near a playoff spot, with a 10-12-3 record.
After missing the playoffs last season but ending the season very well, the Canucks were hoping for a big bounce back year this year, which has not quite been the case.
Last night the Canucks were about to make Brock Boeser a healthy scratch, but due to an injury, he ended up playing in the game and scoring a goal. So far this season he has 15 points in 19 games, which sounds very good, but apparently his play away from the puck has been lacking and it's not sat well with his coach, which led to the original announcement of him being scratched.
Boeser is currently in the first year of his new contract that carries a cap hit of $6,650,000, with his injury history, will teams be willing to take a risk on him?
