Jaromir Jagr was one of the best National Hockey League players to ever lace up a pair of skates.
At the age of 50, Jagr finally announced his retirement from professional hockey this past offseason.
The Legend played in 1733 NHL games and scored 1921 points, good enough for second best all time and if he didn't leave for the KHL for those few seasons, he would be the second player in NHL history to have recorded over 2000 points, trailing only the great Wayne Gretzky.
Jagr announced via his social media that his father, Jaromir Jagr senior has passed away at the age of 82.
He wrote a sweet caption for his father:
If it's true that children choose their parents before birth, then my first decision was the best I've ever made. Thank you for everything, dad
