REPORT: NY Rangers fans want Gallant OUT after recent controversial lineup decision
The New York Rangers only just a few short years ago sent out the letter to their fans stating that they were going to enter a rebuild.
Here we are now and they're a legit Stanley Cup Contender after 2 seasons. They are a team that is loaded with prospects, young players and veteran players, and have been blessed with another great goaltender between the pipes.
The Rangers are so loaded with talent that they're having a hard time finding a place for players to play.
In 2018, the Rangers used their 9th overall pick to select Vitali Kravtsov, who after some issues with management returned to Russia for a few seasons to play in the KHL. This year he wanted to prove all those issues were behind him and decided to come back to the NHL.
The kid has amazing skill but with the depth of the Rangers lineup, he's only found himself in 6 games this season, despite quite a few other players underperforming.
Gallant has now made a controversial decision today that Kravtsov will be a healthy scratch again on Monday against the Devils. This will be the 6th straight game he is a healthy scratch.
"I like my lineup right now, I like the kid. Right now he's our extra forward.
Rangers fans are not happy about this, and are not happy with his decisions after losing the last 2 games, 3-2 to the Ducks and 4-3 to the Oilers. Right now fans are looking for Gallant to be replaced.
