REPORT: Kevin Weekes hints at next EXPANSION location - People are NOT happy
In the last few years, we've seen two new expansion franchises, one which had instant success, making it all the way to the Stanley Cup finals in their first season in the Vegas Golden Knights, and another that took a season but are now a playoff team in the Seattle Kraken.
The National Hockey League is always looking to increase revenue for the league and it's owners, and when a new team enters the league, it means more revenue for both.
While Gary Bettman did state it will be a few years before the league looks to expand from it's now 32 teams, there is always rumblings on where the next franchise should go.
There has been talks about a team returning to Quebec City, Houston is also a possibility, but according to NHL Insider Kevin Weekes, both of those places are not on the map.
Instead, it's a location where a team has already been, and failed, TWICE.
