If anyone has seen what the 2023 NHL Free agency could possibly look like right now, there is a lot of potential for some huge trades this season. A lot of players are UFA's at the end of this year and if players continue to want to move instead of showing loyalties to their current teams, we could be in for a huge year trade wise.

No team wants to go through what the New York Islanders did with Tavares or the Calgary Flames with Johnny Gaudreau and risk losing them for nothing, so I think these UFA's who refuse to re-sign by February will be on the trade block.

Some of the big names available thats are UFA's at the end of the season are: Patrick Kane, David Pastrnak, Jonathan Toews, Vladimir Tarasenko, Ryan O'Reilly .. and thats just to name a few.

NHL Insider Pierre LeBrun though, doesn't believe these guys will be the biggest trade of the year though. According to him, the biggest trade of the year will involve the Vancouver Canucks and their captain Bo Horvat.
