It's an unfortunate thing when anybody is diagnosed with cancer, yet alone our youth.
Ivan Miroshnichenko was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma back in January, has now been cleared to begin skating and working out after completing successfully a course of cancer treatments in Germany.
Today he officially returned to practice with Avangard Omsk.
Miroshnichenko was a projected top 5 draft pick in this past years draft, but due to his diagnosis he slipped to 20th where the Washington Capitals were more than happy to draft him.
In a draft featuring players like Slafkovsky, Wright, Cooley and many others, Insiders have even said that Miroshnichenko may be the most skilled player in the draft.
