REPORT: Edmonton media calling out the Edmonton Oilers and their leadership

Last night the Edmonton Oilers were hosting the Seattle Kraken and they got absolutely ran over in their own barn, losing 5-2.

The Oilers are holding onto the final Wild Card spot, but with the points that McDavid and Draisaitl are producing, they should easily be a top at the top of the conference, if not the league. They are 4-4-2 in their last 10 games and they are quickly falling out of the playoffs.

Some members of the Edmonton Media were quick to critique their play these last few games:

Not sure I've seen a team that can have such little success, yet be this satisfied with themselves.
Oilers played like s team that was owed two points tonight, and just had to waltz out on the ice to collect them.
Pathetic performance.

Agree with Ryan Rishaug on TSN this morning. Hate to look back and anger followers who get on me for that but how would Mark Messier be taking this malaise in the dressing room? They need some anger and that is taking nothing away from 97's leadership or on ice brilliance as C
-Jim Matheson

The good news came yesterday that Evander Kane was working his way back and has joined the team for practice, but obviously these Oilers have a lot more issues to figure out.
