Avelanche Hesitant to Rule Out Francouz for the Season
Pavel Francouz has been suffering from a lower-body injury that has kept him from playing so far this season. Now, head coach Jared Bednar is hesitant as to whether or not he will return, as he is reportedly not even close.
#Avs Jared Bednar didn't rule out the possibility that Pavel Francouz' injury is season ending. It sounds like they're unsure if or when he'll be back.
"He's out until I get notice that he's even close to coming back."
Francouz is suffering from a groin injury with no timeline for return.
Backup Goaltending Essential for Potential Cup Run
While Francouz isn't the main starter for the Avalanche, having a dependable backup is a crucial component for making a deep run in the playoffs. The Avalanche know this themselves, as Francouz was there for their run in 2022.
