Proposed Trade Would Give the Maple Leafs a Franchise Goalie

In this suggested deal by ClutchPoints, we finally see the Toronto Maple Leafs getting the superstar goaltender that the fans have long been waiting for, as they acquire Juuse Saros from the Nashville Predators.

Although, it is a hefty return for the netminder, as it is listed that the Leafs send back newly extended superstar forward William Nylander, as well as fellow goalie Matt Murray and a 1st round draft selection.

There are mixed feelings about this mock trade among the fans of the Leafs and Preds, as both fanbases think that their team is giving up too much for the other.

In this deal however, Nashville would be getting a top notch scorer who can easily get you 40 goals in a season along with a 1st round pick to add a skilled prospect. Meanwhile, the Leafs get a Vezina Trophy candidate goalie who would most certainly help out the team tremendously.

Even though this is just another mock trade that has no connection to any real life scenario, it is still fun to think if either Brad Treliving or Barry Trotz would pull the trigger on this deal.
