Earlier today the Oilers official twitter account tweeted a photo of goaltender Mike Smith indicating he would be their game 2 starter in the best of 7 series against the LA Kings in the opening round of the NHL playoffs.

The Oilers are currently down in the series against the Kings after a nail-biting 4-3 loss on Monday night, after Smith's turnover led to Phillip Danault 's game-winning goal on a deflection late in the third period.
While some fans are questioning whether Smith is the best option the Oilers have at goaltending, especially considering he has lost the last 10 playoff games he has played, Smith has shown strong leadership and character through game 1's tribulations.
Game 2 offers Smith the chance to bounce-back and show fans and the Oilers he can produce.
