Brett Berard was drafted in the 5th round, 134th overall back in 2020 by the New York Rangers.
Berard had a great season in Providence College last year scoring 18 goals and 38 points in 36 games, which helped land him a spot on the Team U.S.A World Junior squad.
In yesterday's game against Czechia, Berard was given a major penalty and ejected for slew-footing Columbus Blue Jackets prospect David Jiricek.
Berard is now the 3rd Rangers prospect to be ejected in the tournament for a major penalty, joining Adam Sykora and Will Cuylle.
